Our business has received funding through the DRIVE program, which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). It has enabled us to invest in 8 self-contained Glamping units, which means we can offer accommodation all year round and being able to target the Pod/short term stay people who want more than just a shelter but don't have a caravan or tent…. It is aimed at people wishing for budget self-contained facilities. The funding went towards the Pods and associated infrastructure. After the last pandemic, many people did not wish to share facilities with other visitors. It's a different type of accommodation on top of our current offerings.
8 pods were delivered to site ready built and plugged in ready to be booked by future guests.
The result of this - it has sped up our development, it has created 3 additional jobs for the local economy and is also bringing in people that couldn't have stayed here before, so additional tourism to the local village and surrounding area.
